Anderson-davis, Inc. Releases “Working Across Generations” Online Course

New eLearning course addresses generational diversity in the workplace, helps employees of all ages communicate, cooperate, and respect differences.

Centennial, CO - July 29, 2008

Anderson-davis, Inc., a trusted leader in the field of respectful workplace training, has released "Working Across Generations,” a new eLearning course addressing the issue of generational diversity in today’s workplace.

Working Across Generations is a fine example of well-designed e-learning that fully engages participants in an enjoyable learning experience. For the first time, four generations are working side-by-side. Accomplishing organizational goals depends upon workers from all generations having the ability to communicate, cooperate, and respect each other’s differences.

The “Working Across Generations” online course provides effective methodologies for resolving generational workplace conflict and increasing employee productivity. Realistic full-motion video scenarios illustrate real incidents that engage the learner. A comprehensive post-assessment verifies that all participants have a thorough understanding of cross-generational communication techniques and associated management skills.

This latest addition to the Anderson-davis eLearning library has already earned a four-star “Outstanding” rating and a “Best Product” award from Training Media Review. In their words, “Working Across Generations is a fine example of well-designed e-learning that fully engages participants in an enjoyable learning experience.”

City launches new diversity/harassment training initiative

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Human Resources Department and a panel of City staff have selected two companies to conduct a comprehensive training initiative on diversity and anti-discrimination/harassment in the workplace.

The selection panel, which included department directors and senior managers from the City, selected Kansas City-based ECCO Select to conduct the diversity training and Centennial, Colo.-based Anderson-Davis Inc., to perform the discrimination/harassment training.

“I appreciate the hard work of the selection committee and was pleased that the group reached a clear consensus on the vendor selection,” said City Manager Wayne A. Cauthen. “The organizations will work with our Human Resources Department to develop a highly-effective training program that will help City employees deal with these critical issues.”

Training session curriculum development will begin in March. As part of the project development, the Human Resources Department will conduct a preliminary cultural audit/survey to determine training design methods.

The classes will serve the City’s 3,800 employees and will include a Web-based e-learning tool to train new employees who are hired after the initial classroom training and as a refresher tool for existing employees.
